For the first time in a very long time, I’ve not had a regular job for the month of September. Most would welcome a break from work, but they should remember that it’s a pretty lonely existence: after all, all your friends are working, and you are left all alone to have the fun! So, I decided to ‘make lemonade’ with the lemons I was given and go on a cooking and baking journey of Toronto this past month. I made everything from rotisserie chicken, to chocolate mousse, to french tarts. But, the crowning glory of this phase in my life will be making fresh pasta for the first time in my life with two legitimate pasta makers, lent to me (for a short time only) by no other than my husband’s “Nona”. Don’t feel too badly for me, though, I’ve got a great sidekick, David, who will join forces with me as we plan, prepare, and feed pasta to our families!
